Choosing Your Range Size: 30, 36, 48 and 60 Inches
Choosing a range width is one of the first decisions in a kitchen project, and one of the most rewarding to get right. Here is how our sizes compare.
30 inches

A standard opening, with no compromise in build quality or attention to detail. A 30-inch Sofia brings the same Crescendo burner technology, the same dual convection oven and the same construction as our larger ranges into a conventional footprint.
Ideal for condominiums, city homes, guest kitchens and any renovation where the existing opening sets the dimensions. The layout changes; the engineering doesn't.
36 inches

The most popular width for a serious home kitchen, and available across our collections.
The Sofia 36-inch Professional range offers six burner positions, each with a 5-in-1 Crescendo burner, over an oven with dual convection, commercial-style racks and the Nova Broiler system.
New for 2026, Evoque arrives at 36 inches in dual fuel and induction — the same engineering in a traditional design language, with French-provincial and Tuscan detailing, valve-inspired knobs and rivet accents.
Prefer a griddle? The 36-inch griddle configuration offers four Crescendo burners — two at 20,000 BTU, two at 18,000 — alongside the same trilaminate stainless steel griddle fitted to our 48-inch ranges.
48 inches

Two ovens, six burners and a griddle. This is the range for anyone who entertains.
The 48-inch dual fuel offers six Crescendo burners — two at 20,000 BTU and four at 18,000 — with a trilaminate griddle, over two self-cleaning ovens: Dual True Convection in the main cavity, True Convection in the accessory oven.
Two cavities mean a roast and a tray of vegetables at different temperatures, at the same time, with no compromise.
Evoque is also available at 48 inches, in dual fuel and induction, for projects where the range needs to read as heritage rather than professional.

60 inches

The statement width, and increasingly an induction one.
Our Evoque 60-inch dual fuel hybrid places gas and induction on a single surface: three Crescendo dual-flame burners at 18,000 BTU, three rapid burners at 15,000 BTU, four induction zones and a bridge zone mode.
Induction at this width is unusual. We build ranges, rangetops and cooktops in induction across every width we offer, which is what makes a large all-induction kitchen a real specification rather than a compromise.

| Dual Fuel | All Gas | |
|---|---|---|
| Cooktop response | Instant | Instant |
| Oven temperature stability | Excellent | Good |
| Baking and pastry | Preferred | Workable |
| Installation | Gas plus a dedicated 208/240V line | Gas plus a standard 120V outlet |
| Typical cost | Higher | Lower |
Plan the surrounding space

Allow generous, uninterrupted counter on both sides of the cooking surface for landing space. Plan ventilation alongside the range rather than after it, and confirm your electrical requirement early.
That last point has changed in an interesting way. Dual fuel and induction models require a dedicated 240V circuit — but our induction architecture is engineered to run at lower amperage than the category norm, which in many homes means no service upgrade. Worth raising with your electrician early, because it can change the budget meaningfully.
Frequently asked questions
What is the most popular professional range size? 36 inches suits the majority of home kitchens, balancing six burner positions with a footprint most layouts accommodate.
Do I need a 48-inch range? A 48-inch range gives you two ovens and a griddle, which is a significant advantage if you entertain regularly or cook several dishes at different temperatures.
Is induction available in larger widths? Yes. We offer induction ranges, rangetops and cooktops across every width, up to 60 inches — one of the widest induction programs available.
What size hood do I need? Your hood should be at least as wide as the cooking surface. Ventilation should be planned alongside the range.
Does a 30-inch range compromise on quality? No. A standard footprint changes the layout, not the engineering — same burner technology, same convection system, same build.
